Requirements

StrongARM RiscPC
2Mb VRAM
14Mb RAM

Important! You must have a screen definition that provides a 320x256x32 at 100hz. If this is not included in your machine the demo will more than likely funk up big style. A screen def is included (but you're probably better off using MakeModes to produce one specifically for your monitor).

Demo

As with Freestyle its another major rush to get our entry finished for the competition. We've put it all together in around 4 days, and there's loads we had to leave out, and so much of our Scorpion engine we've not been able to show off. In the end we haven't included any straight 3D bits - all the main 3D sequences are a bit slowed down cos we're dealing with big textures. We'll really have to do another demo soon (perhaps a little intro in 99) to show of the engine properly. Maybe something 3D only... So much to do, so little time.

We have managed to include a shed load of gfx however, and using JPEG compression means the demo fits on a floppy rather than coming on four!

Thanks to Joe for the last minute JPEG code. Stu reckons you're still a dumbass for not knowing what these [] are for, tho *;-)

Cheers to Stu M for the (rather old) music. You just can't beat that early 90s demo scene.

Apologies to The Blue Ninja for not including ya music.

Delirium

Check this baby out! Its a demon of a screen saver and its filled with funky demo style fx. Theres a load of new stuff coming out soon for it as well, and there should be a version of this demo that runs as a screensaver. Look out for new savers including an enhanced version of Metamorph that uses all the funky merge routines from the demo.

Future

Don't give up on the scene. Acorn haven't messed everything up yet, and the demo scene is here to stay. Lets see some new groups coming up....

Legal

This demo is Freeware and may be copied freely provided that all files in the main program are distributed together and that none of them are changed. We will take action if people start hacking bits out and distributing them. Well, we'll get Stu "lard boy" Lovegrove to come and sit on you.

Greets

Didn't have time to put them in the demo, so heres a few now:

Hi to Paula, Sam, Joe, everyone at Tau, JS, Ste H, Stu M, Rude Girl and Colonel Ozbite!

Demo respect to:

Everyone who entered the competition, but particularly...

Alex/Nutters - I'm really gonna post that Shadow CD any day now
PT/DFI - framerate man *;-)
Frederic - ta for the tech stuff
David/Reactive - cheers for entering!

Kai P + Mr Hill (shame you couldn't enter - hope you can next time!)

Boo's to:

TXP for not letting us put their demos on the CD. Come on guys - lighten up! We'll have to do another spoof web site, or even a spoof demo if you don't...

Music inspiration came from:

Vangelis, Banco de Gaia, Alpha, Eat Static, Shadow, Roni Size and of course, FSOL.

Food inspiration came from:

Jam squares, scooby snacks and breakfast in a tin.

Right, time for some beers.

Kulture will return in SinFunc.
